Best Time to Visit Leshan Giant Buddha

You can visit Leshan in any season you want. The best time to visit Leshan is spring (March~May) and autumn (September to November). During these two seasons, the weather is more comfortable, neither rainy nor cold. Summer is also a good season to escape the sultriness in the urban area. However, you may encounter a lot of tourists here from late June to August and on weekends and holiday in early October.

Best Time to Visit Mount Emei

You can visit Mount Emei in any season you want. The best time to visit Mount Emei is from spring to autumn, especially from April to October, for these months are comfortable for hiking. From April to May is also the best time to enjoy the blossom of Azaleas, while October is the best time to appreciate the maple leaves on Emei Mountain. Summer in Leshan

It is a comfortable season to travel Leshan. The average temperature in Leshan is from 19°C to 26°C during autumn. However, you may avoid going there on the national holiday in the early October and weekends, for there will be lots of people. What to Wear
The temperature is comfortable from September the mid-November and it keeps going down since the mid September. Winter in Leshan

Spring in Mount Emei is humid and cold with an average temperature of 4℃ in the daytime and -4℃ at night. It is a good season to travel Mt Emei.

What to Wear
When it enters April, a long-sleeved shirt with a light coat will usually be sufficient in the normal days if you only stay at the foot area. With the temperature going up, you can change your heavy boots to light comfortable shoes. For the temperature drops a lot at night and in the mountain area, you may need to bring a down jacket, gloves, hat, scarf or rent a winter coat on the Mountain.

Winter in Mount Emei
It is the coldest but best season to enjoy the snowscape in Mount Emei with fewer tourists. It is all snow-covered on the mountain area with the temperature of 2℃ in the daytime and -5℃ at night.

What to Wear
It is very cold in Mount Emei, especially at night and high altitude area. Emeishan is humid, so take your rain gear. How to Plan Your Leshan Giant Buddha Tour

Leshan Giant Buddha is located about 2 hours’ driving from downtown Chengdu. After your Panda tour in Chengdu, you will be transfer to Leshan in the morning.
